Aim of the game

The aim of the game is to earn as many points as possible in 45 minutes. This is done by conquering Moon Trees. During the game, your team earns raw materials in the shape of coins that are issued by the Moon Trees you’ve conquered. Borag also regularly issues raw materials for the teams. So you have to keep a close eye on all Moon Trees!

The woods harbour 21 Moon Trees that cover 3 levels. Some Moon Trees are easy to find and look after, others are not. Level 1 Moon Trees are worth 100 points, level 2 Moon Trees are worth 200 points and level 3 Moon Trees are worth 300 points. The higher the level of the Moon Tree, the more raw materials it will issue.

But beware! Look after your Moon Trees well to ensure they are not stolen by another team. At the end of the game, the points are counted on the basis of the number of Moon Trees your team owns and the duration of that ownership. The team that scores the highest number of points wins the game and becomes the Moon Trees Heroes.

How to play the game

Now you know what the aim of the game is, how to play it? We’ll explain it step by step.

Preparations

Choose your team colour and put on the outfit of that colour. Every team member also receives his own talisman from the instructor. That’s all you need, apart from a good strategy. Think about it while you and the team make your way to the Clearing.

Before we start the game, one player of each team can check into Borag for your first raw materials. Divide these coins among the team members. The game starts when everyone has returned to the Clearing.

Recognising a free Moon Tree

A free Moon Tree is a Moon Tree that is not yet owned by any team and which can, therefore, be won by your team. This is how you recognise a free Moon Tree:

  1. The raw material rings are empty and they indicate what the Moon Tree wants
  2. The large fields twinkle in the different team colours
  3. The talisman ring shows animations in the different team colours

Conquering a Moon Tree for your team

This is what you have to do to conquer a Moon Tree for your team:

  1. First, hold your talisman against the talisman ring. Now the Moon Tree knows you’re there. The large fields pulsate in your team colours.
  2. Now you fill the Moon Tree with the raw materials it needs.
  3. There are 3 types of raw materials: sun, water and earth.
  4. Note: you have to be quick, otherwise the coins are ejected and you’ll have to start all over again!
  5. Once the Moon Tree is filled with all the raw materials it needs, the fields of the tree computer turn to the colours of your team.
  6. Congratulations, this Moon Tree is now yours!

Looking after your Moon Trees

It is important to take good care of your Moon Trees, this is to ensure they give you back raw materials on the one hand, and to make sure other teams can’t steal your Moon Trees on the other. This is what you have to do to look after your Moon Trees:

  1. First, hold your talisman against the talisman ring. Now the Moon Tree knows you’re there and the large fields pulsate in your team colour.
  2. Now you replenish the Moon Tree with the raw materials that are not quite full.
  3. You can also feed the Moon Tree extra raw materials in order to create a buffer.
  4. As long as the Moon Tree has a buffer, it will produce raw materials.
  5. If the buffer and, therefore, the Moon Tree runs empty, it will stop producing raw materials and another team can steal the Moon Tree.

Collecting raw materials

Can you see the talisman ring spinning on your Moon Tree? This means raw materials are waiting for you. This is what you have to do to retrieve the raw materials:

  1. The colours of the spinning talisman ring indicate which raw materials you can collect.
  2. Hold your talisman against the talisman ring.
  3. The talisman ring starts to spin faster.
  4. Hold your hands underneath the hole to catch the coins.
  5. When the talisman ring switches off, all the coins have been ejected.

Collecting raw materials from Borag

It’s not just the Moon Trees you’ve conquered that give you raw materials. Borag, the chief tree also gives each team raw materials on a regular basis. Can you see the different coloured rings on Borag? Keep an eye on the ring that shows the colour of your team to see if any raw materials are waiting for you. This is what you have to do to retrieve the raw materials:

  1. When you notice the ring slowly filling up, it means Borag is producing raw materials.
  2. Once the ring is entirely filled in your team colour, there are raw materials ready to be collected.
  3. Hold your talisman against Borag’s talisman ring.
  4. The talisman ring will start to spin.
  5. Hold your hands underneath the hole to catch the coins.
  6. When the talisman ring switches off, all the coins have been ejected.
  7. Make sure you collect the raw materials in time, otherwise they will expire. This means you have to wait until new raw materials are ready again.

Stealing a Moon Tree

If the Moon Tree is no longer full, and if one or more of the raw material rings are blinking. This means the team hasn’t been looking after their Moon Tree properly and you can steal it. This is what you have to do to steal a Moon Tree:

  1. If you notice the Moon Tree of another team is not entirely full.
  2. Hold your talisman against the talisman ring.
  3. Now replenish the Moon Tree with the raw materials that it needs.
  4. When all the raw materials the Moon Tree needs are full up again, the lights of the panels will show the colours of your team.
  5. Well done! The Moon Tree now belongs to your team.
  6. You can also give the Moon Tree extra coins right away so that it’s safe for a while.

Disasters

What?! Disasters?! Yes, that’s right, after a while, the Moon Trees will be hit by disasters. These disasters will have an effect on how fast raw materials in the Moon Trees run empty. Fortunately, the Moon Trees and the screen in the Clearing also indicate an imminent disaster.

Imminent disaster

In the case of an imminent disaster, the Moon Trees will tell you shortly beforehand by making all raw material rings give three short light bursts. When you see these light bursts, remain on the alert and keep a close eye on the screen in the central location.

Disaster time

After a while the light bursts stop and it’s disaster time. There are 3 types of disasters. Each disaster has an effect on a certain raw material. During the disaster, a certain raw material needed by the Moon Tree will run out faster.

Solar eclipse

A solar eclipse casts a terrible shadow over the Moon Trees woods. This will only affect the Moon Trees that need sunlight. During a solar eclipse, the raw material rings for sunlight will blink fast. This means the raw material rings for sunlight are temporarily running out faster. During a solar eclipse, you have to take extra care of Moon Trees that need the sun as a raw material.

Drought

A big disaster awaits the Moon Trees woods. They are about to be hit by a period of drought. This will only affect the Moon Trees that need water as a raw material. During a period of drought, the raw material rings for water will blink fast. This means the raw material rings for water are temporarily running out faster. During a period of drought, you have to take extra care of Moon Trees that need water as a raw material.

Earthquake

The Moon Trees woods are hit by an enormous earthquake, so save all the animals and stop the earthquake. This will only affect the Moon Trees that need earth as a raw material.
