Real life gaming in de bossen | Moon Trees Challenge

A real-life adventure in the woods

An innovation by Springlab and Klimbos Nederland

Moon Trees was developed by innovation agency Springlab and Klimbos Nederland. Together, they have created a true real-life game for children, teenagers and adults. Springlab is on a mission to get people around the world to exercise. They believe we were built to exercise and that exercise is vital for a healthy and happy life.

We don’t get enough exercise.

Adults should do muscle and bone-strengthening exercises at least twice a week. Children should do so at least three times a week, according to the Health Council. The National Institute for Public Health and Environmental Protection estimates that about 45% of the population meets this guideline. At 55%, the figure is highest for the group of 4 to 11-year-olds and at 28% it is lowest for 12 to 17-year-olds. For the 18-plus group, the figure is 44% (NPO, 2017).

Children hardly play outside anymore

The number of children that play outside every day has fallen drastically in the past five years according to a study by Kantar Public on the instruction of Jantje Beton.
